Guest List/RSVP Questions

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in a RSVP card?

You're welcome to RSVP whichever way is most convenient for you! You can RSVP online right here on our website, or if you prefer, you can mail in the RSVP card included with your invitation. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

What date should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by September 25th, 2025.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Due to limited space, we’re unable to accommodate plus ones. We hope you understand and look forward to celebrating with you!

Am I allowed to bring my children?

We absolutely adore your children and know how special they are, but due to space and venue restrictions, we’ve made the difficult decision to keep the celebration adults-only. We kindly ask that children under 13 not attend, and we hope you understand our need for this arrangement. We’re so grateful for your support and look forward to celebrating with you!

Location Questions

What are the addresses to the ceremony and reception?

Our Ceremony will be held at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Rutherfordton, NC. The address is 408 N Main St, Rutherfordton, NC 28139. We encourage you to read more about our church and our pastor under this website's "Our Church" page! The reception venue is @138 in Forest City, NC. The address is 138 Park Square Cir, Forest City, NC 28043. We encourage you to read more about our venue under this website's "The Venue" page!

Is there parking available near the church/reception venue?

Yes, there is parking available at the church off of North Main Street. Overflow parking will be available across the street in the parking lot of the St. Francis Day School. Parking for the reception venue, @138, is available to the left of the venue's entrance off of Park Square Drive. Please do not park in the small lot attached to the venue, as this area will be utilized as an outdoor space during the after-party.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Both the Ceremony and Reception will be indoors. There will be an outdoor area outfitted with seating and a bonfire for the after-party.

Questions about Accommodations

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

I'm currently working on reserving hotel room blocks for our guests! In the meantime, you can find information about available hotel options on the Travel page of our website. As soon as room blocks are confirmed, I’ll update this section with the details. If you’d like to be personally notified by email once they’re available, feel free to reach out to us at mcdonaldmatrimony@gmail.com and I’ll make sure you’re in the loop!

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel(s)?

We are currently working on arranging a shuttle service to and from the two available hotels in town. We’ll update this page with all the details as soon as everything is confirmed!

Questions about Food & Drinks

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

We’re excited to share that dinner will include steak tips and stuffed chicken breast as our main entrées, along with a fully loaded baked potato bar (yes, all the toppings). We’ll also have roasted vegetables, Caesar salad, and dinner rolls to round out the meal. Come hungry!

Will there be an open bar?

Each guest will receive two drink tickets to use throughout the reception for signature cocktails (or mocktails), beer, and wine. After the main reception events wrap up, we’ll kick off the afterparty with beer and a limited selection of liquor—available until it’s gone! If you’d like to bring along any extra beer to keep the good times flowing, we definitely won’t say no!

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Please indicate any dietary restrictions or allergies in your RSVP card and we will work with you and our caterer to accommodate them!

Questions about Gift Giving/Registries

Could you give me a link to your wedding registry?

Of course! Our Amazon registry is linked on the Registry page of this website for your convenience. Thank you so much for thinking of us!

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Our Amazon registry has our address built right in for easy shipping. If you have any trouble with the registry or want to send something another way, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at mcdonaldmatrimony@gmail.com. For those bringing gifts in person, we’ll have a gift table and a card box set up at the reception.

Questions about Photos

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

We’re having an unplugged ceremony, meaning we kindly ask that all phones and cameras be put away during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present. However, you're welcome to take photos during the reception and after party! The ceremony photos will be shared on social media, but if you’d prefer to receive them directly, we’ll send out a request form in our thank you notes. Thank you for respecting this request and helping us capture the moment!

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

Absolutely! We’d love for you to share your photos and memories from our special day on social media. Feel free to tag us so we can easily see all your beautiful moments!
